The IVRC consists of 4 stage examinations, a documentary, a presentation, a preliminary contest in Tokyo, and a final contest in Gifu.
Production Cost Support and Awards
We provide the production cost support for the participants who pass the presentation examination. Moreover, for the participants who gain fine rating in the final contest, there are extra prizes for the development of participants and their products including the invitation to the Laval Virtual in France and the submittion support for the SIGGRAPH in the U.S.A..
Documentary examination and Presentation examination
In the documentary examination, the judging committee members review project proposals from participants and select teams for the presentation examination. In the presentation examination, teams introduce their products and the judging committee selects teams for the preliminary contest. The above two examination are closed for the protection of ideas.
In the presentation examination, participants are requested a very short presentation of their products and adequate answers against hard questions from judges.
Preliminary contest
In the preliminary contest, participants give the interactive exhibition that let people experience their products. The teams for the final contest are selected through the examination of academic experts and the vote of exhibition visitors. For more information, see "Preliminary contest".

Final contest
In the final contest teams which passed the preliminary contest and the 2 invited teams from the Laval Virtual collegiate contest in France give the interactive exhibition that let people experience their products.
